Greetings and welcome to our world! A world where you're invisible if you cover your eyes, you're either winning or your "losting," & where the alphabet consists of 26 "yedders."
Here the kitchen floor is served 3 times a day, plastic guns abound underfoot and a little sock is always stuck to the inside of your t-shirt. You'll find that policemen wear ties & suspenders, soldiers wear sunglasses, birthdays are always coming up in 3 minutes & happiness is wrestling, popcorn, story-time & a bath.
Could you guess we're outnumbered by little kids? Here's a bit of news from the Biddlebug household. You can also visit our website www.biddlebugs.com to see more pictures, as soon as we get it updated.
Brian has had a busy year. Corporate Financial Group (where he's worked for the past seven years) only needs him two days a week now. This has been a bit scary, but it's opened the door for him to expand his web design business. Lately he's had the opportunity to design blog layouts for a company based out of Washington. He's been thoroughly enjoying it and has learned a lot.
We're sure he entertains frequent thoughts of the day he can upgrade his home office. To a place where you don't have to clear breakfast plates and crumbs to set down your computer; and where the background noise doesn't consist of a noisy little baby, high energy boys and a wife with important things to constantly talk about. However, should that day happen, I'm sure he'll miss us greatly...along with our racket!
Tracey doesn't know where her year went. Perhaps she lost it in the midst of being pregnant, having a new baby plus two small boys, planning church VBS, Bible studies and Christmas program, & teaching piano lessons. Having three small kids and one husband at home can be a bit overwhelming at times, but a very rewarding job provided one sits back and enjoys the process.
Andrew is almost 5. He's waiting and ready for someone to teach him to read. He enjoys having violin lessons from Uncle Tim once a week, loves to color, make things, pretend, and make up songs. He can be a very good help around the house, entertains his siblings, and is quite the conversationalist.
Stephen is 3 and very affectionate, loyal, hot-headed (if offended) and quite funny. He doesn't walk anywhere...he prances. This year he's very excited about being a soldier in the Christmas Program. He likes to think up things to do and LOVES roughhousing.
Grace Kathryn was born July 30th. Yes, we finally got our girl! We were so thankful for an easy and quick delivery! Except for a rather rough ten days at the beginning she's been the easiest baby so far. She sleeps 12 hours at night, is actually on the charts weight-wise, and is quite amiable, sweet and smiley. Although sometimes she does make that non-intelligent baby face...then we just love her anyway.
And our latest member of the family worked its way into Brian's heart before she even arrived. She weighs approx. 7.5 lbs upon shipment, is very quick, and is from the Gateway side of the laptop family. She travels with us wherever we go and often requires constant attention. However, as she provides support for the family, we tolerate her intrusions.
This year has been a very stretching year for us and not necessarily an easy one, yet one full of great blessings at the same time. "And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart..." (Deut. 8:2) "Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! (Ps. 107:8) We hope that we continue to learn and remember!
We would appreciate your prayers for us this year that we would be good examples to our children in our walk with God and with those around us. May your family have a blessed holiday season. We love hearing from you!
